- Fiat unveils the new generation of the BEV version of the 500 which will have to compete with the new small electric sedans of A-segment, as the Mini Electric, Renault Twingo ZE, Volkswagen Up, Seat Mii, Skoda Citigo, Smart Fortwo, as well as the future Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroën C1.
- Inovev forecasts a volume of 25,000 sales per year over time.
- Fiat had already sold an BEV Fiat 500 in the past, but this model had been sold mainly in North America in small quantities.
