Inovev is a partner of the "International Symposium on Structural Composites"
which will be held in Saint-Avold (France) on June 8-9, 2016
Structural composite materials are being used more and more extensively in all industries, and more specifically in automotive industry.
- A real breakthrough has been accomplished with the use of CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics) in medium-size series by German Premium Carmakers (see Inovev's comprehensive study on this topic).
- The challenge is to use them for mass production vehicles (in particular passenger cars developped and engineered by generalist carmakers).
Over the recent years many R&D programmes have been implemented and pilot industrial platforms have been constrcuted.
The objective of the Symposium is to gather the managers involved in these projects, give a precise view of what has been achieved and discuss ways of future. The symposium integrates:

Three platforms will be demonstrated: ° FAST RTM platform: Live demo – RTM manufacturing of parts with alternatively thermoset and thermoplastic matrix in the same tool at high production rate ° NDT platform: from a conventional (US C-Scan) to new generation techniques well suited to automotive high production rate screening (vibrothermography) -°Testing and characterisation platform: mechanical, chemical, fatigue and fire tests. |
