Top 100 Models by Production in Europe in 2015

 

The ranking of the 100 most produced vehicles in Europe (including Turkey) in 2015 (excluding heavy-weight vehicles) reveals that:

These 100 models represent 80% of European automobile production.

Of these 100 models, 64% are sedans, 20% are SUVs, 11% are light utility vehicles and only 5% are MPVs. Pick-up trucks do not appear in this ranking as none of them were among the 100 most produced vehicles in 2015. The same is the case for sports cars.

Of these 100 models, 40% are segment C, 30% are segment B, 17% are segment D, 7% are segment A and only 6% are segment E. No segment F cars figure in the top 100.

The vehicles which do not appear in the top 100 are those which were produced at a rate below 70 000 vehicles in 2015.

The seven most produced vehicles in in Europe in 2015 were the Volkswagen Golf (691 516 vehicles), the Renault Clio (392 387), the Ford Fiesta (331 435), the Volkswagen Passat (327 801), the Opel Corsa (317 889), the Volkswagen Polo (315 512) and the Nissan Qashqai (298 947), which works out to six sedans and one SUV. These seven vehicles were the only ones produced at a level of more than 295 000 each in 2015. Among these there are four segment B models and two segment C models. Three models belong to the Volkswagen group, the leading European manufacturer.
