What carmakers produce the most MPVs?

 

Regarding the (close to) 6 million MPVs manufactured worldwide in 2015 - representing 6% of global automotive production - what are the leading manufacturers?

The GM Group is the manufacturer that currently produces the most MPVs (1.55 million in 2015) through its Chinese subsidiary GM-Wuling, ahead of Toyota (800,000 in 2015), Renault-Nissan (650 000), Honda (500 000), Fiat-Chrysler (300 000), Volkswagen (300 000), Suzuki (300 000), JAC (250000), Hyundai-Kia (250 000) and Ford (200 000). These ten manufacturers account for 86% of global MPV production.

By brand, GM-Wuling is the leader in this category of vehicles (1.25 million in 2015) ahead of Toyota (650,000), Honda (500,000), Nissan (450 000), Baojun (300 000), Suzuki (300 000 ), Volkswagen (250 000), Anhui (250 000), Ford (200 000) and Kia (200,000). These ten brands account for 74% of global MPV production.

The most produced model is GM-WulingHongguangwith 642,000 units produced in 2015, ahead of  the Baojun 730 (323 000), Anhui Refine (253,000), Honda Odyssey (218,000), GM-WulingZhigguang ( 218 000), Toyota Noah (216,000), Nissan Note (211 000), GM-WulingHongguang V (209,000), GM-WulingRongguang (176 000) and Toyota Sienna (154 000).
These ten models represent 44% of global MPV production.
