Opel Adam, Karl and Zafira will not be renewed
The PSA Group has indicated that the Opel Adam (3-door A-segment sedan), Karl (5-door A-segment sedan) and Zafira (C-segment minivan) will not be replaced.

The Opel Adam was launched in 2012, as a chic and trendy city-dweller targeting the Fiat 500. The success of this model has been mixed since 300,000 units have been sold in six years or 50,000 per year.

Opel Karl was launched in 2015, as a city-dweller succeeding Opel Agila (2000-2015) after a collaboration with Suzuki. The Karl was she derived from a Chevrolet Spark. It has totaled 150,000 units in three years, or 50,000 per year.

Opel Zafira was launched in 2011, but the origins of the Opel MPV date back to 1999. This model has been sold to 500,000 units in seven years, or 70,000 per year since 2011.

Deprived of its A-segment models and minivan, the Opel brand in 2020 will be reduced to the following models: the Corsa (B-segment), Astra (C-segment), Insignia (D-segment) and the Mokka SUV (B-segment) Crossland (Bsegment) and Grandland (C segment ). The large SUV derived from the Peugeot 5008 (D segment) remains in project  phase.

In the commercial vehicle category, Opel will have Combo (N1-1 segment), Vivaro (N1-2 segment) and Movano (N1-3 segment). The latter should ultimately receive a PSA body.
