Fiat Chrysler unveils new product strategy for Europe
The Fiat-Chrysler Group unveiled its new product strategy for Europe at the end of November 2018. This is the first time that it was presented by the successor of Sergio Marchionne ,who died last July. The FCA group will continue to favor high-margin models, such as Jeep, Dodge Ram pickups, Alfa-Romeo and Maserati, but will develop in parallel the electric and hybrid engines which are still very marginal in FCA production today.

The Fiat-Chrysler Group absolutely wants to maintain all its factories located in Italy in full activity by bringing new products to each of these production sites:

1On the Pomigliano site, a smaller SUV than the Renegade or / and a mild-hybrid Fiat Panda will be added to the Panda.
2. On the Mirafiori site, an electric Fiat 500 and an Alfa-Romeo E segment SUV will be added to the Maserati Levante.
3. On the Cassino site, a D-segment Maserati SUV will be added to the Alfa-Romeo Giulia and Stelvio.
4. On the Melfi site, the Jeep Compass SUV (destined for Europe) will be added to the Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X.
5. On the Val di Sangro site, no model will be added but the manufacturer is counting on a steady increase in light  truck sales  over the next five years, for which there is no guarantee.
