The Opel 2020-2023 product plan for Europe
- The Opel 2020-2023 product plan is now directly linked to PSA's since the French manufacturer took over the European subsidiary of the GM group in 2017. All future Opel models of this period will therefore be based on PSA platforms and will have PSA engines.
- The first model launched in 2020 will be the new generation Corsa(B segment sedan), which will share components with the Peugeot 208 marketed at the same time, as well as its CMP platform. The 100% electric Corsa will be launched immediately afterwards. The manufacturer expects 15% of Corsa's sales to come from this motorization. This model will end the career of the GM-designed Opel Ampera-e. The new generation of the Mokka (B-segment SUV) should be launched in the second half of 2020 and be produced at the Poissy site in France. A 100% electric version should be launched immediately.
- The 100% electric version of the Vivaro should be launched the same year, at the same time as the electric Peugeot Expert and Citroën Jumpy. The Grandland should be equipped with a plug-in hybrid engine, like the Peugeot 3008.
- 2021 will be the year of the restyling of the Crossland, Grandland and Insignia, but above all the year of the launch of the new generation of the Astra (C-segment sedan) based at this time on the Peugeot 308 (EMP2 platform).
- The 100% electric Combo should be launched in 2021, at the same time as the Citroën Berlingo and Peugeot Partner electric cars.
- In 2023, the new Movano will be launched and in 2024 the new Insignia (D-segment sedan).
