Japan Mobility Show 2025: Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi presents a modern version of its Delica D:5 small transporter or van. According to the carmaker, this diesel vehicle offers enough space for seven people despite its compact dimensions. It is also designed to cope with tougher conditions like an SUV.

Since 2023, Mitsubishi has been offering the Delica Mini, a Kei car version of the Delica transporter, which is based on the Kei car eK but is slightly taller. Mitsubishi wants to establish the Delica Mini as a more spacious premium Kei car. Mitsubishi has equipped the new version with a five-mode drive service, which is an innovation in Kei cars.

In August, Mitsubishi unveiled the third generation of the Mitsubishi eK Space, and visitors to JMS 2025 will be able to take a closer look at this new model. It is approximately 3.4 meters long and 1.47 meters wide and will be equipped with a gasoline engine. It will also be sold by Nissan under the name Roox. In 2024, around 70,700 eK Space/Roox vehicles from the previous generation were sold in Japan.

Mitsubishi will also present the new Outlander with a plug-in hybrid engine at JMS 2025. The PHEV version is set to be offered in Europe again from early 2025. Inovev was able to register 3.541 sold units in Europe within the first 8 Months 2025. In 2024, around 137,300 vehicles of this type were manufactured at the Okazaki plant in Japan. The new Outlander PHEV is expected to have an output of 225 kW (306 hp) and a pure electric range of up to 86 km according to the WLTP cycle. This is ensured by two electric motors (one front and one rear). Inovev forecasts a production of 175.000 units per year.

Not much is known about the concept vehicle that Mitsubishi plans to unveil at JMS 2025, except that it will be a fully electric crossover SUV in the premium segment with electric all-wheel drive. The teaser image suggest a spacious interior, possibly the trunk.
