Ford Group sold 3.7 million vehicles in 2022
The Ford Group has stabilized its global sales in 2022 compared to 2021, but at a low leveli.e. 3.7 million vehicles, while between 2013 and 2017 it sold more than 6 million vehicles annually, including 6.7 million in 2016, which at the time marked a production record for the US carmaker.
 
The Ford Group sales decline has been global since 2018, as they have decreased both in the U.S., its largest market (1.85 million sales in 2022 compared to 2.60 million in 2016), in Europe (800,000 sales in 2022 compared to 1,340,000 in 2016), in China (325,000 sales in 2022 compared to 951,000 in 2016) and in South America (70,000 sales in 2022 compared to 310,000 in 2016).
 
In addition, Ford Group has decided to withdraw from the markets of India, Russia and even South America, which has cut the carmaker of many sales. Ford seems to focus more and more on its home market of North America.
 
Ford Group's global sales in 2022 break down as follows:
§ The U.S. remains its largest market with 1.85 million vehicles, representing 50% of its global sales.
§ Europe remains the second largest market with 800,000 vehicles, representing 22% of its global sales.
§ China accounts for only 9% of its global sales with 325,000 vehicles.
§ South America remains the third largest market with 70,000 vehicles or 2% of global sales.
 
These four markets account for 83% of Ford Group's global sales in 2022.
