Context

The Geely Group is expected to unveil several models at the 2026 Beijing Motor Show , including the 4.77-meter-long Galaxy M7 plug-in hybrid SUV (PHEV). The hybrid engine is based on a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, as is common in hybrids. The Galaxy sub-brand, owned by the Geely Group, sold 626,000 vehicles worldwide in 2025, a significant increase compared to 2024.
The new model targets the highly price-sensitive segment of family cars priced between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan, attempting to shake up the current competitive landscape. This price segment has long been dominated by models like BYD's Song series, and Geely is trying to capture a share of this market.
The launch of the M7 comes as plug-in hybrid vehicles have become Geely's main growth driver in its domestic market. Geely is also expected to unveil the all-electric A7 sedan, 4.94 meters long, with lines inspired by Audi's flagship sedans.
