Lexus 2020-2023 Product Plan for North America
- The 2020-2023 Lexus (Toyota Group Premium brand) product plan for the North American market is as dynamic as the Toyota brand product plan, with 7 launches and 4 restylings.
- Remember that, unlike the Toyota brand, Lexus models are all imported from Japan with the exception of two: the sedan ES (derived from the Camry) that is manufactured in the US and the SUV RX (derived from RAV4) that is manufactured in Canada.
- Lexus has sold a total of 300,000 cars to the US in 2018, a number close to that of BMW or Mercedes.
- The year 2020 will be marked by the renewal of the IS sedan (D segment) and the launch of a cabriolet version of the LC coupe. By 2021, the LC coupe and LS sedan (F segment) should be renewed. The SUV NX (segment D) will be renewed the same year.
- The year 2022 will be the restyling of the sedan ES that derives from the Toyota Camry. The Camry will be restyled at the same time. Both models should be renewed in 2025. The year 2022 will also be the renewal of the RC coupe (derived from the IS sedan) and SUV GX (derived from the Toyota Land Cruiser).
- The year 2023 will be that of the restyling of the SUV UX (segment C) which is derived from the SUV Toyota CHR widely diffused in Europe. This restyling will take place three years after that of the Toyota CHR launched three years earlier.
- Finally, the year 2023 will see the renewal of SUV RX (derived from Toyota RAV4) and LX (derived from Toyota Land Cruiser SW).
- All Lexus models are and will be available in a non-rechargeable hybrid engine.
