Japan Mobility Show 2025: Nissan (2/2)
Even before its launch this year, Nissan will unveil the sixth generation of the new Micra at JMS 2025. This B-segment SUV will now be fully electric with a choice of two batteries: one with a capacity of 40 kWh, 90 kW of power, and a range of up to 308 km, or one with a capacity of 52 kWh, 110 kW of power, and a range of up to 408 km. The standard version of the vehicle weighs 1.4 tons; with the larger battery, it weighs 1.52 tons. It is expected to be less than 4 meters long and less than 1.8 meters wide. The new Micra will most likely be produced in Douai (France), as it is intended for the European market. Inovev forecasts a production of 20.000 units per year.

Nissan will release a special version of the Xtrail, known as the Rogue in the US. This version, called the Rock Creek Edition, will feature a number of extras and design elements that will make it even more suitable for off-road use and give it a more rugged look. It is not known whether the Rock Creek Edition will be marketed outside the US, but this is unlikely.

Since the seventh generation of the Patrol was launched last year, the SUV to be exhibited at JMS 2025 is no longer a real novelty. As this SUV, equipped with a V6 twin-turbo engine, is intended exclusively for the Middle East and is tailored to the needs and tastes of customers there, this is likely to be a presentation of Nissan's international strategy.

The Nissan Kei Car Roox, which will also be sold by Mitsubishi under the name eK Space in the 2025 generation, is approximately 3.4 meters long and 1.47 meters wide and will be equipped with a gasoline engine. In 2024, around 70,700 eK Space/Roox vehicles from the previous generation were sold in Japan. The Roox is expected to differ from the eK Space in that it may will feature an infotainment system that is unusual for kei cars.

Nissan has announced that it will exhibit the Nissan Fairlady Z, without mentioning any changes to the 2021 model. Perhaps news will be announced during the show, or perhaps it is simply an eye-catcher.
