Paris Motorshow 2026: Inovev forecasts 20,000 units per year of the new Audi Q9 SUV
- Despite the presence of two high-end SUVs in its catalogue, the Q7 (5.07 m long) and the Q8 (4.99 m long), Audi has decided to launch an even more imposing SUV (5.31 m long), the Q9, which now crowns the carmaker's range since the Audi A8 limousine is expected to be discontinued soon without being replaced.

- The Audi Q9's exceptional dimensions could make its distribution extremely difficult in Europe, but this model could find customers in China, the United States, and the Middle East.

- Inovev believes that with such customers, the Audi Q9 could be produced at 20,000 units per year in the first part of its career (between 2027 and 2030) and 10,000 units per year in the second part of its career (between 2030 and 2033) during which the predominance of 100% electric SUVs could marginalize it.

- Indeed, the Audi Q9 will not be available with an electric powertrain, but only with a combustion engine. This large SUV will be equipped with the 3-liter mild-hybrid V6 diesel engine producing 299 hp , already used in the Q7 and A6 Allroad.

- The Audi Q9 will compete with the Mercedes GLS (5.21 m long) and BMW X7 (5.12 m long), but also with the largest American SUVs, such as the Cadillac Escalade (5.38 m long) for example.

- The Audi Q9 will be produced at the Bratislava plant in Slovakia, alongside the Audi Q7 and Q8.
