- Renault presented on January 11 the first official photos of the Captur, the new crossover compact and urban (based on Clio IV) vehicle which will be sold in the spring and which replaces the Modus. It will compete with the Peugeot 2008 and Nissan Juke.
- The Captur will be initially produced at the Renault plant in Valladolid (this plant has just stopped to manufacture the Modus and therefore has unused capacity). It will be sold throughout Europe in the wake of the Geneva Motor Show. It may subsequently be manufactured also in Brazil.
- The exterior styling of the Captur emphasizes the uniqueness and robustness of the vehicle. Its interior should be very similar to the Clio IV’s. The vehicle is 4.12 meters long and offers an optional two-tone paint.
- As for engines, the Captur should receive the most powerful engines of the Clio IV: the petrol 100hp and 90hp 0.9 TCe, as well the diesel 90hp and 110hp 1.5. in addition it may also receive the 1.2 TCe115hp petrol engine currently not mounted on the Clio IV.
