Great Wall is the 19th world manufacturer in 2015

Chinese carmaker Great Wall is the 19th carmaker in the world in 2015 and the third 100% Chinese  carmaker behind Changanand Geely. Great Wall, which sold 850 000 vehicles in 2015 (against 730 000 in 2014), has gradually become a group composed of two distinct brands, one (Haval) producing SUV, the other (Great Wall) producing sedans and pickups.

The current range is composed of:

1. Haval SUV H1, H2, H5, H6, H7, H8 and H9 which totaled 662,500 in 2015 sales.

2. Great Wall sedans M2, M4, C30 and C50 which totaled 90,800 sales in 2015.

3. Pickup WingleWingle 5 and 6, which totaled 99,500 sales in 2015.

It is to note that the Haval brand sales have  increased by 54% in 2015, while the Great Wall sedan sales have fallen by 50% and pick-up sales by 16% over the same period.

The Great Wall Group  is therefore specializing increasingly in the SUV. It has gradually become the leading producer of SUVs in China.

The main Great Wall Group's market in 2015 was China with 834,000 sales, representing 98% of its global sales.
The 2% left are exported to
Chile (3800 units), Russia (3200 units), South Africa (2500 units), Bulgaria (2300 units), Iran (2300 units), Colombia (1800 units), Uruguay (500 units) and New Zealand (400 units).
