Inovev predicts production per year at 70 000 for the new Citroën C3 Aircross
- Citroën unveiled its SUV segment B, the C3 Aircross, which replaces the segment B minivan, the C3 Picasso whose origins go back to 2009.
- This model shares its platform (PF1) and its engines with the brand new Opel Crossland SUV marketed in recent weeks.
- The engines of the new Citroën SUV are the following: a gasoline version of 110hp and 130hp and a 1.6 diesel of 100hp and 120hp. The diesel engine will be replaced as of the fall of 2018 by the new 1.5 of the same hp , which equips the Peugeot 308 facelift.
- With a length of 4.15m, the Citroën C3 Aircross competes with the Renault Captur (4,12m), Peugeot 2008 (4.16m), Nissan Juke (4,14m) and the all-new Hyundai Kona (4.16m).
- The Citroën C3 Aircross will be manufactured in the same factory as the Opel Crossland in Zaragoza, alongside Opel Corsa and Mokka (half of the Mokka sold in Europe is made in Zaragoza and the other half in GM Korea in Korea).
- Inovev expects 70,000 C3 Aircross to be produced each year in Zaragoza, the vast majority of which are sold in Europe. The model will be marketed in China in the fall of 2018.
