The PSA group electrifies its entire range of light commercial vehicles
After starting the marketing of Citroën e-Jumpy, Peugeot e-Expert and Opel e-Vivaro vans a few weeks ago, 100% electric powered derivatives of the thermal engine versions, the PSA group is preparing to launch the 100% electric motorization derivatives of Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Partner and Opel Combo vans. In the process, the French manufacturer will also launch the Citroën e-Jumper, Peugeot e-Boxer and Opel e-Movano utilities with 100% electric engines.

Note that the e-Movano abandons its Renault Master body in favuor of the Fiat Ducato’s which is used as the basis for the Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer. Indeed, even before the planned merger of PSA with FCA in early 2021, the collaboration between Opel and Renault on commercial vehicles had been questionned by the takeover of Opel by PSA. The Opel Movano will therefore change its body in 2021, as the Opel Vivaro had done before. Renault is losing a second model at its French production sites, after the shutdown of the Fiat Talento scheduled for this month, which we had recently talked about.

The range of PSA light commercial vehicles will therefore be fully available in a 100% electric version from the second half of 2021, both in the N1-1 segment (size 1), in the N1-2 segment (size 2) and in the segment N1-3 (size 3).

Inovev expects total production of 38,000 units for these electrically powered PSA LCVs by 2025.

Note that Toyota, which benefits from PSA bodywork on its ProAce (N1-2) and ProAce City (N1-1), will also see these models be available in an electric version from the second half of 2021.
