The Fiat Panda remains the most produced vehicle in Italy in 2022
The Fiat Punto (B-segment sedan) remained for many years the most produced car in Italy, but the strategy of the Fiat group decided in the 2010s that this model was not profitable and that it had to be removed eventually, which actually happened in 2018, after an agony that lasted ten years.

The Fiat Panda (A-segment sedan) has become from 2013 the most produced car in Italy, until today, but for this it was necessary to relocate this model to its domestic market because Fiat management had decided to produce it previously in Poland, even though its main market is (by far) Italy.

Behind the Fiat Panda, we note the presence of the Jeep Renegade (B-segment SUV) which has fallen significantly since 2018, in particular due to a short-lived success and the production launch of the Jeep Compass (C-segment SUV) which is produced in the same plant (Melfi).

The battery electric Fiat 500 e (A-segment sedan) has got off to a good start and could become No. 2 in 2023 thanks to growing success, which is also grabbing sales of the Fiat 500 with internal combustion engine produced in Poland. The Fiat Ducato van is produced at an average of 100,000 units per year and continuously remains in the Top 5. In total, the Fiat Panda was produced at 150,000 units in Italy in 2022, ahead of the Jeep Renegade (80,000 units) and the Fiat 500 e (65,000 units).
