IAA Mobility Munich 2025: Cupra : Raval model (will be a sporty derivative of the battery electric VW ID2)
- The Cupra Raval will be a compact sedan (B segment) with a sporty and battery electric design. It will be based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB Entry platform, shared with the VW ID2 (which will be officially presented at the 2025 Munich Motor Show and marketed in 2026), VW ID2 X and Skoda Epiq. The production version will be unveiled at the 2025 Munich Motor Show.
- Its production will be carried out at the Martorell site in Spain, alongside the Cupra Formentor.
- Its engine, with a maximum power of 226 hp in the sports version, will allow a range of up to 440 km for the most powerful version. Two batteries are planned, the first of 38 kWh (LFP) for the entry-level versions, the second of 56 kWh (NMC) for the high-end versions.
- The car's design is inspired by the Urban Rebel concept, with a compact silhouette (around 4 m), sharp lines and a triangular light signature, in short a rather aggressive style.
- Estimated price: around 25,000 euros, which would make it one of the most affordable sporty electric city cars on the market (an Alpine A290 costs 38,700 euros). The model is eligible to the ecological bonus in France, thanks to its European production.
- Inovev expects production of 57,000 units of the Cupra Raval in 2030.
