Paris Motorshow 2026: BYD Dolphin G
- Chinese carmaker BYD unveils its anti-Clio weapon with this B-segment plug-in hybrid sedan, named Dolphin G, capable of traveling 105 km according to the WLTP cycle in 100% electric mode.

- This is the first BYD vehicle designed specifically for European markets and not adapted from a model intended for the Chinese market. It will also be assembled at BYD's Szeged plant in Hungary.

- This new 4.16m long model, which will make its first public appearance at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, will compete with the Renault Clio and Toyota Yaris hybrids.

- The BYD Dolphin G distinguishes itself from the BYD Dolphin and Dolphin Surf by its unique bodywork and plug-in hybrid engine, while the Dolphin (4.29 m long) and Dolphin Surf (3.99 m long) are 100% electric.

- Based on the platform of the BYD Atto 2, which is a 4.31m long SUV, the BYD Dolphin G uses the same 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid engine.
