Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) in the Automotive Industry

Inovev has conducted a comprehensive study relating to the development of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) with the objective to analyse the CFRP development and foresee the CFRP future at 5 German carmakers (Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen).

Strategy and  plans of each carmaker have been studied thoroughly, the possible parts to come scrutinised.
Analysis has been carried out from the current and R&D carmakers’ projects and deep interviews of industry leaders.

The entire supply chain from the manufacturing of PAN raw material to the use on the cars has been identified for each carmaker.

The market size over next years has been assessed and the quantities in tonnes calculated according to different criteria.
