2019 Geneva MotorShow - Volkswagen
Porsche Taycan
- The Porsche Taycan will be the brand's first 100% electric sedan to be built on Volkswagen group’s MEB platform dedicated to electric cars . This model, a little more compact than the Porsche Panamera, will be equipped with a 600 hp electric motor allowing a range of 450km.
- The Taycanwill be produced in small quantities at the German site in Leipzig. The high price of this model (close to that of a Panamera) will mean that it will not achieve very large volumes.
- Inovev expects a maximum of 20,000 annual sales.
Skoda Scala
- Skoda replaces its Rapid model (C-segment tri-body sedan) with the Scala, whose body adopts a hatchback line. The Scala, which takes on the look of the old Rapid Spaceback (5-door sedan), is similar in dimensions, to the Volkswagen Golf, but it is based on the MQB-A0 platform (that of the VW Polo, VW T-Cross, Seat Ibiza, Seat Arona, Skoda Fabia) and not on the MQB-B platform (that of the VW Golf).
- The Scala is 13cm shorter than the Rapid sedan but 5cm longer than the Rapid Spaceback.
- Manufactured in MladaBoleslav (Czech Republic), the Scala, which is part of the Skoda range , positioned between the Fabia and Octavia, should achieve production of 70,000 units per year.

- Skoda presents its new B-segment SUV, the Kamiq, built upon the same platform as the Seat Arona and Volkswagen T-Cross This model completes the Skoda SUV range, alongside the Karoq (C-segment) and Kodiaq ( D-segment).

- The Kamiq will be the 19th SUV of the Volkswagen group, after the recent Seat Tarraco (D-segment).

- Kamiq is produced at the Czech MladaBoleslav site.
