Launch of future Ford models in the NAFTA zone 2022-2026
- By 2026, the Ford group will launch several new models on the North American market. Other models will be redesigned or restyled. It is in 2025 that the carmaker will introduce the most new features.
- Ford: In 2022, the new F-150 Raptor R should make its appearance as well as the seventh generation of Mustang. In 2023, the Super Duty will be redesigned and the Escape will be modernized. Ranger and Mustang models will get new engines, and the Transit Trail is expected to hit the market. Later, the F-150 and the Explorer will be restyled. In 2024, plug-in hybrid versions (PHEV) of the Bronco will appear, also in Sport version. In 2025, a BEV version of the Explorer, a PHEV version of the Ranger and a still unknown BEV pickup should see the light of day. In 2026, only the designs of the Transit, E-Transit, Mustang Mach-E, F-150 and Explorer models will be changed.
- Lincoln: in 2023, the Corsair first, then the Aviator will be modernized. In 2024, the Navigator will be redesigned. The Aviator redesign will follow a year later, in 2025, when a BEV version of the model is also expected to see the light of day.
- In total, the Ford group will launch 8 new models, much less than its competitor GM which announced 25 models in the same period, and Ford is therefore less diversified in terms of vehicle types.
- The Ford group will therefore release 3 electric vehicles, 3 plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) and 3 thermal vehicles by 2025.
