Paris Motorshow 2024: other news from the Volkswagen Group
Skoda Elroq: this compact B-segment SUV joins the market of battery electric SUVs. The Skoda Elroq is in a way the BEV version of the Skoda Kamiq SUV but it has its own body style. It is one of these new BEVs with lower prices than those usually marketed by carmakers and with a mission to revive the electric market by targeting a wider clientele than what of most BEVs offered until now. A production volume of 50,000 units per year is expected.

Volkswagen Tayron: this large D-segment SUV is ideally positioned between the Volkswagen Tiguan (C-segment) and the Volkswagen Touareg (E-segment). It replaces the old Tiguan Allspace. It is equipped with thermal engines. There are no plans to derive a battery electric version, but it will be marketed with a plug-in hybrid engine. If the model is produced in Europe (Wolfsburg), it will reach 50,000 units per year. An other Tayron is also available in China where it has been produced since 2018.

Volkswagen ID2: the B-segment Volkswagen ID2 will be the brand's entry-level battery electric sedan, therefore marketed at a lower price than the ID3. The ID2 uses the design style of the Polo, which has just ceased production, and will be produced like it in Spain. It will be a competitor to the Renault 5 E-Tech, Citroën e-C3, Fiat Panda e, Opel e-Corsa, Peugeot e-208, Lancia Ypsilon E and Mini E. If the electric market develops as expected, Inovev foreacasts a volume of 100,000 sales per year of the ID2 model.
