Inovev predicts sales of 50 000 per year for the Seat Arona
The Spanish brand SEAT  (a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group) has unveiled its B segment SUV, the Arona, which could be considered as the SUV version of the Seat Ibiza, with which it shares the  MQB-A0 platform, which is also used by the new Volkswagen Polo presented a few weeks ago. The Arona, which measures 4.14m, is SEAT’s second SUV, after the launch in 2016 of the Ateca (C segment) and before the launch in 2018 of  its large (D segment) SUV whose name is as of yet unknown, and is built on the same platform as the VW Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq.

In 2019, Seat will have three SUVs on three different segments,  as do Skoda and Volkswagen. But it is still Audi that will have the largest number of SUVs within the Volkswagen group, with seven different models (from Q2 to Q8).

- The Seat Arona will be manufactured on the Spanish site of Martorell. Inovev expects 50,000 sales of Arona each year, while the Ibiza sales volume is announced as 175,000 per year. The Seat Ateca will sell at around 100,000 units in 2017, based on sales in the first five months of the year.

The Seat Arona is equipped with the following engines: a 3-cylinder 1.0 TSI gasoline of 95hp and 115hp, a 4 cylinder 1.5 TSI gasoline of 150hp and a 4 cylinders 1.6 TDI diesel of 95hp and 115hp. The Arona intends to compete with the Renault Captur, Peugeot 2008, Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka, Opel Crossland, Hyundai Kona, Kia Stonic, Citroen C3 Aircross, Fiat 500X, etc ...
