- Europe registered 1,575,079 battery electric vehicles (BEV) in 2022 compared to 1,218,360 units in 2021 (+29%), and 1,013,827 plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) in 2022 compared to 1 045,022 units in 2021 (-3%).

The Skoda Enyaq takes a surprising sixth place (50,765 units; +18%), ahead of the Peugeot e-208, Hyundai Kona e, Dacia Spring and Renault Zoé. The Renault Mégane BEV currently occupies seventeenth place and the Nissan Leaf is no longer even part of the Top 20.
