Honda sold 3,82 million vehicles in 2012
- Honda has stated that its sales rose by 50% over the nine months of the 2012-2013 fiscal year, in comparison with the year 2011 which was affected with the earthquake/tsunami.
Honda sold 2.98 million vehicles in the first nine months of the fiscal year ending late March 2013.
It is to be noted that it sold in addition 11.5 million motorbikes over the same period (Honda is the first two-wheeled vehicles specialist in the world).
In the calendar year 2012 (1 January-31 December), its global sales totaled 3.82 million vehicles (+23%) against 3.1 million in 2011, placing the group in the 8th position instead of the 9th in 2011, just behind the Fiat-Chrysler group (4.2 million).

- The total 2012 global production was 4 million vehicles: 1million vehicles in Japan ( + 45%) and three million outside Japan (+40%). Production outside Japan represented a quarter of overall volumes.
- For 2013, Honda has revised its global sales forecast down to 4.06 million vehicles, against 4.12 million expected previously.
