Bolloré launchs the Bluecar onto the market
- Bollore officially confirms that the electric city Bluecar will be available as soon as now on, for sale at a price of 12,000 euros or for rental. In the latter case, the rent will be € 500 per month including car (with its battery) hire , access to Autolib recharge stations, all risk insurance, the installation of a charging unit at the customer's home, and assistance 24 hours on 24. Bollorée expects annual vehicles sales (to put in perspective with the 150 000 units targeted by Renault for the Zoe).
- The minimum commitment is three months. In all cases, the car will be replaced after twenty months by Bolloré. Almost identical to the Autolib car sharing system Bluecar, Bluecar for individuals differs in some points. From a technical point of view, its maximum speed increased to 130 km / h (against 110 km / h for Autolib version ) and a "Sport“ driving mode -which provides more dynamics).
- Aesthetically, it loses the appearance of Autolib grey metal for a metallic blue dress (this is actually a foil that covers the body) which justifies its name. The Bluecar may be equipped with a sunroof and light-alloy wheels. The interior finish is a leap forward with a gray leather interior and a dashboard covered with leather also gray in the lower part.
- This car is very well adapted for dense inhabited areas commuters (for instance driving daily trips home-work).
- The Bluecar will continue to be manufactured in a first time at Pininfarina and then in a plant located in Quimper (France).
