PSA sold 1.46 million vehicles in the first half of 2013
- PSA Peugeot Citroën sold 1,461,000 vehicles worldwide in the first half of the year (- 9.8% compared to the first half of 2012), of which 808,000 Peugeot (- 15.4%) and 653 000 Citroen (- 1 , 7%).
- The manufacturer said that its sales of CKD in Iran (143,000 in 2012) were suspended in the first quarter of 2012, as a result of the strengthening of international sanctions against the country. Excluding CKD (which no longer exist in 2013), sales are actually down by only 1.1%.
- Despite the loss of sales in Iran, the share of sales outside Europe of PSA increased from 34% to 41% (the target the group set was 50% in 2015). Its sales grew strongly in China (278,000 units, up by 33%), Latin America (146,000 units, up by 21%) and Maghreb countries (149,000 units, up by 20%).
- The launch of the latest models was a success: Peugeot 208 (400,000 sales in a year), 301 (42,000 sales), 2008 (30,000 sales) and Citroën C-Elysee (30,000 sales). The new Citroën C4 Picasso also made a very good start.
- The DS line has also confirmed its success in rising above 360,000 models sold since its launch in Europe. The market share of PSA in Europe stood at 12.2%.
