Lancia gradually disappears from the European market
- After disappearance from the European market of Saab, Daihatsu and Chevrolet brands, the Lancia brand - in accordance with the announcement made by the group management FCA – vanishes also progressively from this market.
- On the one hand, sales of Lancia recorded a continuous decline over the past fifteen years: they were divided by three since 2000 and by two since 2009. They fell down to 60 000 units in 2015 (including 56 000 in Italy) .
- On the other hand, the Lancia range has been reduced to mere Ypsilon(A/B segment sedan).
The Delta (C/D segment sedan), Thema(E segment sedan) and Voyager (E segment MPV) were stopped in 2015.
The Ypsilon (whose origins date back to 2011) was restyled at the same time, which is a sign of a programmed end of career in 2019.

- In January 2017, the Ypsilon will be marketed only in Italy, where this model is still experiencing some success.
In 2019, the Lancia brand will have completely disappeared.
To replace the Ypsilon, the FCA group envisages the launch of a Chrysler 100 that could be produced in Europe or Mexico.

- In the same way as the current Ypsilon, the future Chrysler 100 would be based on the platform of the Fiat 500 and Panda. This future Chrysler segment B will be marketed in Europe and North America. FCA group hopes to repeat the deeds of the Jeep Renegade, which is designed on a Fiat basic and sold successfully in Europe and North America.
