PSA sold more than 2 million vehicles in the first half of 2018
- For the first time in its history, the PSA group sold more than 2 million vehicles in the first half of 2018, which could mean a volume close to 4 million units for the full year, thus very close to Fiat-Chrysler Group volumes. The PSA group sold 2.18 million vehicles in the first six months of 2018 (+ 38% compared to the first six months of 2017) thanks to the consolidation of Opel / Vauxhall since August 2017. PSA group sales break down as follows: 1,005,676 units of Peugeot brand, 572,561 of Citroën brand, 571,832 Opel / Vauxhall brand and 31,754 DS brand.
The PSA group sales increased especially in Europe -+61,55%-(the acquisition of Opel / Vauxhall strengthened Europe's share of PSA's worldwide sales). In China, PSA sales rose 6.9% after a sharp decline last year, but its sales in Iran are stalling (-18.6%) because of the threats of the US administration on companies that do not respect their embargo in this country.

- The results of PSA in the second half of 2018 will indeed be conditioned by the strategy the company will adopt in face of the risks of American sanctions.
Last year(2017), the PSA group sold 3.63 million vehicles worldwide, up 15% over 2016, thanks to the Opel / Vauxhall acquisition recorded as of August 1, 2017.
