The PSA group broke its world sales record in 2018
- The PSA group (Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel, Vauxhall) broke its world sales record in 2018, thanks to the contribution of the European Opel/Vauxhall subsidiaries acquired from the GM group in the summer of 2017.
- Total worldwide sales of the PSA Group amounted to 3,877,765 units (compared to 3,632,314 units in 2017), an increase of 6.8%.
- The breakdown by brand is as follows: 1,740,214 units under the Peugeot brand (-17.9%), which suffered from a drop in sales in Iran, Turkey and China, 1,046,229 units under the Citroën brand (-0.9%), which suffered from a drop in sales in China, 53,265 units under the DS brand (+0,8%) which ended five years of decline with the launch of the DS7 Crossback, 827,706 units under the Opel brand and 210,351 units under the Vauxhall brand, both of which were recorded over twelve months in 2018 compared to five months in 2017.
- This enabled the PSA Group to make overall progress in 2018, despite the poor results of the Peugeot and Citroën brands.
- The PSA group's best-selling model was the Peugeot 208 (294,876 units), but the Peugeot 3008 is not far behind (265,125 units).
