The Audi 2020-2023 product plan for Europe
The 2020-2023 Audi brand (a subsidiary of the Volkswagen group) product plan reveals a large number of restyled models but few real innovations. The investment limitation after the "dieselgate" has eliminated the launches of the A9 and SUV Q6 coupés, but the project for a SUV Q4 has been saved and it will be 100% electric.

No models equivalent to the Volkswagen ID 1, ID 2, ID 3 and ID 4 are currently announced for 2020-2023. Instead, Audi modestly enhances its E-Tron range with the launch of a GT version and therefore the SUV Q4. As for the E-Tron itself (which was initially to be launched under the name Q6), it will be restyled in 2023.

Maybe Audi is waiting until the following years to really get into the electric market. However, this strategy is questionable, as its competitors Mercedes and BMW have planned to launch a large number of electric models in  2020-2023. One must, therefore, be satisfied with the restyling of the internal combustion engine models (certainly modernized thanks to the use of 48V batteries that Audi identifies as mild-hybrid). The A4, A5 and SUV Q7 sedans will be restyled in 2020, the SUV Q5 in 2021, the A6, A7, A8 and SUV Q8 sedans in 2022, and finally the SUV Q3 in 2023.

In fact, the most important new feature for the brand will be the new generation A3 sedan launched in 2020. This internal combustion engine model will be built on the MQB platform of the new VW Golf  which will be launched at the same time
