Renault launches the battery electric version of Trafic
Until today, only Renault light utility vehicles in the N1-1 (Kangoo) and N1-3 (Master) segments could be equipped with a 100% electric engine, but like the Peugeot, Citroën, Opel and Fiat of the Stellantis group, Renault light utility vehicles in the N1-2 (Trafic) segment will also now be available with a 100% electric engine.

The four brands of the Stellantis group mentioned above already have a 100% electric motor on their three ranges of light vehicles, on the one hand the Partner-Berlingo-Combo-Doblo (N1-1), on the other hand the Expert-Jumpy-Vivaro-Scudo (N1-2) and finally the Boxer-Jumper-Movano-Ducato (N1-3), which represents a very homogeneous range.

At Renault, the new battery electric Trafic will fill a hole in the carmaker's range and will finally be able to fight on equal terms against Stellantis' Expert-Jumpy-Vivaro-Scudo (N1-2).

It will probably be copied by the Nissan Primastar version (new name of the NV300) as the Nissan Townstar (derived from the Renault Kangoo, new name of the NV250) and the Nissan Interstar (derived from the Renault Master, new name of the NV400) are already available in a 100% electric motorization.

The electric Renault Trafic is equipped with the 118 hp (87 kW) engine of the electric Renault Kangoo, with a 52 kWh battery allowing a range of 240 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. As with the diesel version still in the catalogue, the electric Trafic is offered in two different wheelbase versions.
