1,000 Alpine A110 produced in Dieppe
The new Alpine A110 (which takes the name of the mythical model of the 60s) has passed the mark of 1,000 units  produced in May 2018, which means that current production is at 200 per month and it should soon to increase to 250 per month, which is in line with the objectives initially set by the manufacturer. Renault has indicated that it plans to produce 3,000  units of the Alpine A110 in 2018, on the site of Dieppe (France).

The model is expected to increase in production in 2019 (4,000 units  and in 2020 (5,000 units ). If these numbers are confirmed, we could expect a diversification of the Alpine range, in the same way as at Porsche, with the launch of a sedan and a SUV, built on the same platform and with the same engines  as the A110 coupe (currently, only a 1.8 turbo gasoline engine is available).

Similarly, Porsche moved from the 911 coupe, whose origins also date back to the 1960s, to launch the Panamera sedan and the Cayenne and Macan SUVs much later.

The Alpine brand could become the Premium brand of the Renault group, such as DS for PSA or Infiniti for Nissan. Alpine could  thus perpetrate the tradition of the former French luxury brands that disappeared in the 50s,  such as Delage, Delahaye, Hotchkiss, Salmson and Talbot.
