IAA Mobility Munich 2025: Volkswagen: new T-Roc (the brand's first F-HEV model)
T-Roc (B-segment SUV), which dates back to 2017, will be replaced in 2026 (2019 for the convertible). The new generation of this model will be longer than the current generation (4.37 m instead of 4.23 m). It will be marketed for the first time in a full-hybrid version (F-HEV) in 2026 and in a battery electric version (BEV) from 2028.

These launches will be the occasion for a change in the prodution allocation of the model in Volkswagen factories from 2028. The Palmela site (Portugal) will be dedicated to the thermal and hybrid versions of the future T-Roc (in 2026) while the Wolfsburg site (Germany) will be dedicated to the battery electric versions of the future T-Roc (in 2028).

Note that the future battery electric VW Golf will also be produced in Wolfsburg while its thermal and hybrid versions will be produced in Puebla, Mexico, alongside the VW Jetta.

The carmaker will extend production of the thermal and hybrid Tiguans in Wolfsburg until 2033 or even 2035, but a battery electric version should be launched in 2026, also produced in Wolfsburg.

Inovev forecasts a production of 300,000 units of the new Volkswagen T-Roc per year.
