The Fiat Panda is the most produced car in Italy in 2025
- Based on production figures calculated for the first 11 months of 2025, Inovev estimated the production volume of each model produced worldwide for the entire year. Here is the Top 20 by model (passenger cars + light utility vehicles) for Italy, which produced just over 500,000 vehicles last year, a 9% decrease compared to 2024, mainly due to the discontinuation of the Fiat 500X (its replacement, the Fiat 600, is produced in Poland) and the end of the Jeep Renegade and Compass, as well as a relatively sharp drop in Alfa Romeo production volume, whose commercial star has become the Junior, produced in Poland.
- The most produced car in Italy remains the Fiat Panda (A-segment hatchback) which has not suffered from the launch of the Fiat Grande Panda (B-segment hatchback) which is rather located at a higher price level and which is in reality the replacement for the old Fiat Punto.
- In the graph below, Inovev has included the production volume of the Fiat Grande Panda produced in Serbia to facilitate comparison with the Fiat Panda. We can see that the Grande Panda, launched in January 2025, has not exceeded 30,000 units produced, while the Fiat Panda has exceeded 130,000 units. The Grande Panda still has a long way to go if it wants to reach a production volume comparable to that of the Panda, or even eventually replace it.
- The second most produced model in Italy is the Fiat Ducato van, followed by the Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper. It's worth noting that vans account for nearly half of Italy's total car production, hence the excellent ranking of these three models. Furthermore, Italy remains the home of grand touring coupes (Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini).
