Inovev forecasts 40,000 units for the new DS N°7 by 2030
- The French premium brand DS has unveiled the second generation of its mid-range SUV (C-segment), the DS N°7, which slots into the manufacturer's current lineup between the DS N°4 (C-segment hatchback) and the DS N°8 (D-segment SUV). This new model abandons the sleek, classic style of its predecessor in favor of a more complex silhouette inspired by the DS N°8.

- The DS N°7 is based on the STLA Medium platform, first used by the Peugeot 3008 in 2023, Peugeot 5008 in 2024, Opel Grandland in 2024, and Citroën C5 Aircross in 2025. Like these three SUVs, the DS brand's mid-range SUV will be available with a mild-hybrid powertrain (1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine producing 143 hp) or as a fully electric vehicle. The plug-in hybrid and diesel versions that were available on the previous DS 7 will not be offered on the DS N°7.

- Two batteries are offered: a 73.7 kWh NMC battery equips the 230 hp (169 kW) version, allowing a range of 540 km WLTP, and a 97.2 kWh NMC battery equips the 245 hp (180 kW) and 350 hp (257 kW) versions, allowing a range of 740 km WLTP.

- The DS N°7 is 4.66 m long, 7 cm longer than the previous DS 7, while retaining the same width (1.90 m) and height (1.63 m). Its wheelbase is 5 cm longer (2.79 m). Its dimensions are close to those of a Peugeot 5008 or even a Volvo XC60, meaning the DS N°7 is approaching the D segment, even though it remains 16 cm shorter than the DS N°8 (which is currently only available with a 100% electric powertrain).

- The DS N°7, which will compete with the Audi Q4 E-Tron and BMW iX3, will go on sale this fall starting at €49,000 for the hybrid version. It will be produced at the Italian plant in Melfi at a rate of 40,000 units per year, according to Inovev.
