2020–2025 market share of Chinese manufacturers by global region : near 70% in China and more than 40% in Russia
- Since 2010, Chinese manufacturers—defined as brands that are 100% Chinese, excluding foreign subsidiaries or joint ventures—have significantly increased their global market share.

- Their global market share grew from nearly 5% in 2010 to approximately 10% in 2015, 15.6% in 2020, and 24.5% in 2025. This share is expected to rise even further in 2026, driven in part by the decline in sales of foreign brands within the Chinese market.

- By region, the market share of Chinese manufacturers in China is approaching 70% in 2025, reaching 68.5% compared to 47.0% in 2020. The second region where these manufacturers are seeing significant success is Russia, where their share has grown from 3.4% in 2020 to 44.5% in 2025. Next is Africa, with a market share of 16.9% in 2025 (up from 7.5% in 2020), followed by Oceania (16.4% in 2025, up from 3.3% in 2020), the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (14.5% in 2025, up from 6.5% in 2020), Latin America (12.7% in 2025, up from 3.6% in 2020), ASEAN (10.8% in 2025, up from 1.9% in 2020), the Middle East excluding the GCC (7.1% in 2025, up from 1.2% in 2020), Western Europe (5.0% in 2025, up from 0.3% in 2020), Central and Eastern Europe (3.7% in 2025, up from 0.3% in 2020), East Asia excluding China (0.6% in 2025, up from 0.0% in 2020), South Asia (0.4% in 2025, down from 0.9% in 2020), and North America (0.0% in 2025, compared to 0.0% in 2020). 2020).

- A question is whether North America will long remain a land free of Chinese cars.
