Assessment of Sales in Russia (PC+LUV) for the first 6 months of 2015
- The Russian automotive market (PC + LUV) fell sharply in the first half of 2015 (-36.4%) compared to the same period last year. It thus dropped to 782 000 units against 1 230 000 units in the first half of 2014 and 1 333 000 units in the first half of 2013.
- Most manufacturers recorded a breathtaking decrease, like Honda (-77%), which has just announced its permanent withdrawal of Russia, PSA (-75%), Suzuki (-73%), GM (-66%), which is pulling out of the Russian market, FCA (-59%), Geely (-58%), Subaru (-57%), Ford (-56%), Mitsubishi (-50%), Mazda (-47%), Tata (-45%) and Volkswagen (-40%). Five groups are doing better than the market, but most of them are experiencing significant declines Toyota (-34%), Renault-Nissan (-28%), BMW (-25%), Hyundai-Kia (-15%). Only Daimler remains almost stable (-3%).
- The market leader remains the Renault-Nissan group with its Lada , Renault, Nissan, Infiniti and Datsun brands, but its market share (34.5%) remains the lowest compared to previous years and in relation to the objective set by the manufacturer (40%). The second group of this market is Hyundai-Kia (20%) and Volkswagen (10%). These three groups alone account for two-thirds of registrations on the Russian market.
- By model, the LadaGranta remains the first in terms of sales (64 000 units), ahead of the Hyundai Solaris (54 000 units), Kia Rio (43 000 units), LadaKalina , at the end of its life cycle (21 000 units), VW Polo (21 000 units), Renault Logan (20 000 units) and Renault Duster (20 000 units).
