- If the Mitsubishi Renault-Nissan operation is validated in October2016, the European-Japanese group would become the third carmaker in the world behind Toyota and Volkswagen.
- Here are the rankings for the first four months of 2016:
• 1. Volkswagen (3.34 million sales)
• 2. Toyota (3.21 million sales)
• 3. GM (3.14 million sales, including GM-Wuling)
• 4. Renault-Nissan (2.77 million sales)
• 5. Hyundai-Kia (2.52 million sales)
- The contribution of Mitsubishi should allow Renault-Nissan to overpass GM and Hyundai-Kia and approach the two leaders Volkswagen and Toyota.
