With Mitsubishi, Renault-Nissan would become the third carmaker in the world

The Renault-Nissan group is in 2015 the fourth carmaker worldwide, behind Toyota, Volkswagen and General-Motors.
Mitsubishi is the 14th World carmaker, behind BMW, Daimler and Mazda.

If the Mitsubishi Renault-Nissan operation  is validated in October2016, the European-Japanese group would become the third carmaker in the world behind Toyota and Volkswagen.

Here are the rankings for the first four months of 2016:

• 1. Volkswagen (3.34 million sales)

• 2. Toyota (3.21 million sales)

• 3. GM (3.14 million sales, including GM-Wuling)

• 4. Renault-Nissan (2.77 million sales)

• 5. Hyundai-Kia (2.52 million sales)

The contribution of Mitsubishi should allow Renault-Nissan to overpass GM and Hyundai-Kia and approach the two leaders Volkswagen and Toyota. In the first 4 months of 2016, the European-Japanese group Renault-Nissan including Mitsubishi totals 3.15 million vehicles sales (into which 0.38 million Mitsubishi).
