Fiat Doblo and Talento will be replaced in 2022
The 2022 year will be the year of renewal for Fiat branded light utility vehicles. These new vehicles will not be based on Fiat design for the Doblo (segment N1-1) and the Renault design for the Talento (segment N1-2). As for the Fiorino (segment N1-0), it will be stopped without being replaced, as a consequence of the decision taken by the European Commission on the market competition.
The future Fiat Doblo and Talento (which will be named Scudo for the utility version and Ulysse for the passenger version) will be based on the platform, the engines and the design of the PSA light utility vehicles, meaning the Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Partner/Rifter, Opel Combo for Doblo and the Citroën Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, Opel Vivaro for Scudo / Ulysse. It is to be noted that the current Fiorino and Doblo are quite old as they date from 2007 and 2010 respectively. On Fiat design, there will therefore only remain the Fiat Ducato (segment N1-3), on which the Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer and Opel Movano are derived. These vehicles are the largest LUVs in the Stellantis group.
The furure Fiat Scudo / Ulysse based on PSA models has just been unveiled and will be produced in the first quarter of 2022 while the future Doblo based on PSA will be presented during the next summer. The new Scudo / Ulysse will be produced at the Valenciennes plant, alongside the Jumpy and Expert (models of the K0 family). The Toyota Proace, which is also based on the Jumpy/Expert, is also assembled at the Valenciennes plant.
As for the new Fiat Doblo, it is expected to be produced in Bursa in Turkey, unless the management of Stellantis decides to produce a part in Vigo and Mangualde, alongside the Berlingo, Partner and Combo (models of the K9 family). The Toyota Proace City, which uses the same body, is also manufactured at the Vigo site.
