Paris Motor Show 2018: Mercedes GLE
The new generation of the Mercedes GLE (E-segment SUV) is expected to be unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show.

The new model does not revolutionize the style of the former GLE which was itself  a mere restyling of the M-Class launched in 2011.

It should  retain the engines of the old GLE, i.e. the 6cylinder 3.0 gasoline engine and the 4 cylinders 2.2and 6 cylinders 3.0. diesel engines.

A plug in hybrid , based on  the 3.0 gasoline is expected to follow next year.

The new GLE will be produced at the Tuscaloosa (USA) site as previously, and a coupe version is expected to be launched next year to replace the current version.

Paris Motor Show 2018: BMW Z4
The BMW Z4 coupé-cabriolet is replaced by the BMW Z4 roadster, which means that the retractable metal roof system has not been carried over by this new generation.

The new BMW Z4 is equipped with a 340-hp 3-cylinder 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine, but will soon be available in a 185 hp / 245 hp 4-cylinder turbo engine version.

For cost reasons, it shares its platform with the new Toyota Supra coupe, which should be unveiled in the coming months.

The BMW Z4 will also be produced in the same factory as the Toyota Supra in Graz, Austria, owned by equipment manufacturer Magna Steyr.

The new BMW Z4  will rival Mercedes SLC, Audi TT and Porsche Cayman.
