- The new Mercedes E-class cabriolet is part of the Mercedes range between the Class C (D segment) convertible and the Class S (F segment) cabriolet.
- It replaces the former Cabriolet Class E launched in 2009 and , unlike last time, uses the platform of the E Class sedan rather than that of the Class C.
- Its roof is in canvas, like those of the Class C and Class S convertibles
