- This model is not produced in Hungary for the European market, but in Japan (like the Ignis).
- The Swift competes with the Renault Clio, Peugeot 208, Citroen C3, Ford Fiesta, VW Polo, Opel Corsa, Seat Ibiza, Skoda Fabia, Toyota Yaris and Nissan Micra.

- 40% of Yaris sales are made in gasoline-electric hybrid version and this proportion could rise even further , while the diesel version has been discontinued.

- This new model is the first on the MQB-A0 platform of the Volkswagen group, which will be used on all B-segment cars in the group, such as the future VW Polo, Skoda Fabia and Audi A1.
- The Seat Ibiza competes with the Ford Fiesta, Opel Corsa, Renault Clio, Peugeot 208, Citroen C3 and of course VW Polo and Skoda Fabia.
